First Slumped Panel Experiment

To start with, instead of going all in and slumping over the first of the panels I started with 3mm thickness from previous samples. Although this will not give me a specific idea of what kiln temperatures to use due to the difference in thickness of glass, it will give me a clue if the flint/plaster ratio is good enough so that the forms can stand the heat and not break, as well as how much texture the pieces have picked up.

The firing was put on at a top temperature of 710 degrees which from the outcome shows little detail. Having the temperature fairly low was a safe option so that the glass did not spill, but it is wise to increase up to a higher temperature of say 740 degrees and hold it for longer witht the thicker panel which will be the next experiment.
