Slumping over 3D Printed Forms

After having to programme the Z-Corporation machine myself as no one else in the University understands it, (apart from one man in a different building who only uses plastic 3D printers rather than this particular machine). I have come to the conclusion that slumping over 3D printed forms does not give the desired effect no matter if you change the type of glass, top temperature, thickness of 3D printed form or size of glass. 

 

Therefore, elaborating on the digital process, I will combine this with traditional techniques of making silicone moulds which will then create plaster 3D forms combined with flint. The idea is that these forms will have more stability when being fired and hopefully allow effective detail once the transparent glass is slumped over.  Add this to the idea of 'Architectual Lighting and Sculpture and there should hopefully be potential for an innovative product.
